Amazingly as I watch TV and the stars you have to wonder what is wrong with them. You have people defending people like Roman Polanski, and David Letterman gets a pass by the rest of the perverts that are out there. Craig Ferguson the host of the Late, Late Night Show, says people like David Letterman should not be held to the same standards as politician and clergymen. Then you have the likes of Dick Cavett, I thought he was dead weighing in on the situation, saying how masterfully the king of late night handled the situation and defused it.
The Bible says in the Old Testament Isa 5:20-21, Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight! NKJV. And another verse in the New Testament says Rom 1:18-23,18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. NKJV. Notice verse 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, is this not the bulk of the Hollywood crowd. Not all of them, guys like Gary Sinese, Jon Voight, Diane Cannon and I think Angelina Jolie might lean to the right and I’m sure there are others. But for the most part they really think they are smart but dumb as stump.
And then you have Woopie Goldberg, saying it wasn’t rape, rape, in the case with Roman Polanski. Then what the hell was it, when a girl is drugged, given alcohol and sodemnized? Oh that’s right it was consensual, after all she was in her right mind after she was drugged and given alcohol and she was thinking straight. But when Woopie was asked if it was her 13 old daughter she had a hard time answering, she said something like well it depends. I thought depends was something old people ware. Anyway do we stand a chance with these lunatics influencing our young people, your son’s and daughter’s that are glued to front of the TV being brain washed by an ungodly media. Wake up parents and take you kids back.
Not change the subject, but is Michael Moore an idiot? He gets on TV and tells (or threatens) the democrats and says that if they don’t pass the health care he will make sure they don’t get elected in 2010. I think that we should all write our law makers and tell them we will picket and come out against them if health care does get passed. If Michael Moore can do it so can we.
Well that is it for now and it only 7:30 AM. I’m going to write my lawmakers and do exactly what Michael Moore did except in reverse. I know 10 people who now 10 people who 10 people and we can if we stick together change this thing.

Am I On Another Planet
As I listen to the all the reporting on TV and the radio it is strikingly clear the world is getting more and more out of control.
I’m a Bible believer and love to read the news in light of Biblical Prophecy and one of things that stand out to me is a verse in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 2 Tim 3:1-6 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! NKJV
A little history about this verse is the fact that it was written in the 1st century and some people would argue that it is out dated. But most bible scholars agree that the structure of this verse in the Greek language would indicate the that when the apostle Paul wrote this he wasn’t only speaking of that particular time frame, but was also looking into the future to the day and age in which we live.
When you read that particular verse it is like reading right the daily newspaper. So as a Christian and a believer in Jesus Christ I need to be very aware and live my life as to please God.
When I see the headlines I do not run in fear, because all this was brought out my Jesus Himself in the Gospel of Matthew & Luke when He spoke of the end times. So I have lived my life as an example of the greater one that lives on the inside of me. One thing I need to say here and that is I’m saying we need to run to the mountains and hide and throw out our TV’s. I’m saying we as Christians need to be the moral barometer in this world.
For instance look at the verse of scripture, is it not true people are in love with themselves (look at Hollywood). Lovers of money Bernie Madoff, he made off with millions, absolutely no conscience or regard for other people. Kid’s obedient to parents (not all kids) but as nation in general we slid down a muddy path.
I realize the economic times may not be so good, but I do believe we have been handed a bill of goods by the media. I’m 60 going on 61, my father was a business man, I was a business man, my brothers are business men and very successful. But there were always lean times, you just have to know how to navigate them. Maybe you need to tighten your belt for a season or whatever. It goes in cycles. There is story in the Old Testament about Joseph and how he predicted 7 years of plenty and 7 years famine, he advised the King to store up during the 7 years of plenty so there would enough for the 7 years of famine. Another story tells that God told Isaac to plant in famine. What did God mean? He meant go to work use the resources you have and will bless it. The problem is not so much the government but people who got greedy and used their resources unwisely, sure the market tanked but boy we were happy when we were making great interest. Maybe if people stopped and smelled the roses instead of looking for easy money they would have made better investments and they would not have been affected so badly, could invested real estate or precious metals. But people trusted the big investor’s and got the shaft because the big investor don’t care about you the way you care about you.
One more thing as I stop rambling is this. I have a condo in south Florida, bought 11 years ago when things were good. My home was paid off. So I took a lone and bought an ocean front condo. Paid a modest price for it, it is owned free and clear and it worth 3.5 times what I paid for it, and loan is paid off and I’m happy.
What I was going to say is this I keep hearing about the economy, as I said it is in a down turn so what it will fix itself it always does. But the media and the government have deceived people so much and we hear some much on bad things are that people are afraid to spend. As I said I was just down in South Florida, I guess they don’t realize there is a recession, because all you see are Bentleys, RR, Austin Martins, Maserati’s. Dear God if you drive a Mercedes you’re not doing so good. And in the stores you go to the mall and have diner you have to wait an hour, if you go to the Coach store you need wait 20 minutes to pay, same thing with Tommy Bahamas, go figure. Yet all we hear how bad things are. Is somebody lying or am I another planet. Went to an Oldies show in September $30.00 a ticket and there were 5000 people there. Go figure.

You Are A Victor
You Are A “Nike” Person
Victory, Conquest and Success
Millions of people are wearing shoes, shirts and hats with a biblical message imprinted on them and they do not even know it. I am talking about people who have bought shoes and clothes with the Nike logo.
“Nike” is a biblical word. The original Greek word translated as “victory” in 1 John 5:4 is “nike,” pronounced “flee’ kay.” This word also means conquest and success.
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory (nike) that overcometh the world, even our faith.
(1 John 5:4).
When I discovered the word “nike” in the Bible meant conquest, victory and success, I became excited and I though I was the “Nike Man.”
If you own sporting apparel from the Nike Corporation, such as a pair of Nike tennis shoes or a Nike hat, you are wearing a symbol of victory. You are wearing something that symbolizes overcoming and being victorious. I am not endorsing the Nike Corporation or their sporting apparel. I am just pointing out what the word “nike” means.
You can tell people the word “nike” is in the Bible and means victory; conquest and success. You can tell them about the real “nike Man,” Jesus Christ. Jesus died so we can be victorious in this life and the life to come. Tell them they can be a “nike person” in Jesus.
The Devil Has Been Swooshed
Nike shoes and clothes carry a logo that looks like a checkmark. This mark is called a “swoosh.” The meaning of the “swoosh” is basically leave them in the dust.
The serpent is symbolic for the devil. In Genesis God cursed the devil:
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon
thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all
the days of thy life:
(Genesis 3:14).
The serpent in the Garden of Eden was used by the devil. God told the serpent he was going to eat dust. Did you know that the devil has been “swooshed” by God?
1 John 5:4 says, Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world. Jesus overcame the world. He overcame death, hell and everything. He overcame the god of this world, the prince and power of the air. Jesus has overcome it all.
When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord, you became an overcomer by becoming part of His family. When you became born again, you were born of God. You have a share in the spoils of Jesus victory over the devil. It is not because of anything you did. In yourself you could not overcome the devil, but through Jesus you share in His victory Nike people are victors over the devil through Jesus. Nike people leave the devil in the dust.
Just Do It
The Nike Corporation used to have an advertising slogan, “Just Do It!” The Nike Corporation is not just selling sporting apparel; they are selling an image of success and victory. The Nike Corporation does this by associating their products with winners. When you buy Nike shoes and sporting apparel, the company wants you to feel like you are a winner too. The next time you are out somewhere, look around. You will see that Nike has been very successful in marketing their products. Almost everywhere you go people are wearing Nike tennis shoes, Nike hats and Nike shirts.
Image is important today. People wear all kinds of things to project a successful image. People wear designer clothing and name brand shoes to make a statement. People try to say they have arrived because they are wearing a particular garment or a particular brand of shoes.
People are willing to pay a price to wear the right clothes and shoes. A pair of fancy tennis shoes is expensive. There are also many more styles to choose from than ever before. Stores sell shoes to walk in, shoes to run in, shoes to jog in, shoes to play sports in, and shoes that do not even look like shoes. When you wear the Nike brand, you are identifying with the logo and the image that says, “I am a victor. I am a conqueror. I have arrived.”
Identify With Jesus
Our society has more of an understanding of what it means to be a winner through the subtle message of a Nike tennis shoe than they do through the word “Christian.” But when we call ourselves Christians, we are born of God and through Jesus we are winners. Through Jesus we are over-corners and have success and victory.
It is good to identify with being a success. It is good for you to identify with being a conqueror and being a victor. God wants you to identify with Jesus. Jesus is a victor. Jesus is a success.
The garments on the outside are not important. The important thing is for you to understand who you are in Christ. In Christ you are a super-victor. Wear your Nike gear if you like, but say, In Jesus I am a winner! In Jesus, I am an over comer In Jesus; I am more than a conqueror! In Jesus, I have arrived
God wants you to see a new spiritual image of yourself. He wants you to identify with the victories of Jesus. Jesus overcame hell, death and the grave. He defeated all the enemies we will ever encounter. As a Christian, you are entitled to share in the benefits belonging to Jesus Christ. As a Christian you share in the inheritance of Jesus. Grasp this truth in your mind and you will remove all the limits that are keeping you from doing what God wants you to do.
The Word of God says you are a success through Jesus (2 Corinthians 2:14). it is good to line your thinking up with the Word of God. This is not about the power of positive thinking. It is much more than that. This is about the power of the positive Word of God. When you have the Word of God in you and it begins to renew your mind, it will change you into who God wants you to be. The Word of God in you will make you a victorious overcomer through all the challenges of life.
You can be living a life where there are no limits in what you can do through Jesus. Rejoice in the fact that you are born of God. The Bibles says, For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory (nike) that overcometh the world, even our faith.
